There is something innate in human being that is validated by being right. Specifically, predicting the future.
There is something that feels powerful when we are able to properly know what will happen ahead of time. [If we really believe God knows all, then it's only proper that we submit our lives to the omniscient, omnipotent being that he is.] We like to predict things… especially when there are no consequences when we are wrong. But we bask in the glory of all of the times we were correct. When people predict the gender of an unborn child, I tell them that there is a 50% chance of them being right.
With that said… just to prove how powerful I am for fun, here are my Major League Baseball predictions for 2008.
